On: Country Back Road Adventures

Last night I took my friend Clayton home from Bible Study. He lives in the middle of nowhere in the middle of a deep valley apparently (not really, but you will understand why I say so later). On going to pick him up, I only encountered one large car-eating body of water. Luckily, good ol' Pax (ask me later why my car is called Pax) was able to trudge through the car-eating body of water and heroically make it to Clayton's house. It was a different story on the way back. I'm driving along, taking my normal route to the middle of nowhere, and suddenly Clayton spots a road closed sign. After apologizing to the driveway I used to turn around in (I felt bad, we were following a van who had intended to turn into that driveway and then we looked like creepers turning into their house as well!) we continued back along the country road. Now, I love driving country roads. They're curvy and interesting. It's like danger around every corner! So we're heading back to Troy and Clayton decides to tell me the 999 different ways there are to get back to house while still avoiding the road closed sign. I decide on a route and we start to take it. However, as we drive, he says, "You know, we could take this road and turn left then go right, then drive across a cornfield after swimming through an ocean..." and at that point my brain was in overload. (Ok, he really didn't say the stuff about the cornfield and swimming)  Me: "AH! I AM GOING THIS WAY AND THAT IS THAT!" Clayton laughed at me. We cruised on towards Marine, I yelled at people going slow, Clayton laughed at that (why that was amusing I have no idea), and then we hit Marine-St. Jacob road. Side note: One nice thing about my area, there are roads named for the towns that you are heading to. It's quite nice. Oh, I want to go to O'Fallon? Good thing there's  Troy-O'Fallon road! Oh, I want to get to Edwardsville? Let's take Edwardsville Road!  Yay!!! End sidenote.  Collinsville? Hey! There's a Collinsville road too! Real end of Sidenote. So we're going down aforementioned road, and Clayton exlaims, "SLOW DOWN!". I proceed to freak out until he's like, "Oh, you need to turn left here." Me: Invisible angry glare at Clayton for unnecessary freak out. More joyous driving along fantastically curvy roads until we arrive at his house.  End of exciting country back road adventures.

Life From Behind My Hazel Eyes

      I'm not sure how to describe myself. It's a hard task. Ironic, considering that I am me. So, I've come up with a few things that you must be aware of. You must be aware that I am a Christian. I love God, with my whole heart. This is my core, my essence. You also must be aware that I am a geek. I honestly love school, learning, thinking, solving problems, and getting homework done. Most of the time. Another thing to be aware of is that I am a comp sci-new media/systems major and Jesus is my knight in shining armor who helps me slay my dragons in the dungeon. =] The dungeon is where I hang out a lot of the time. The last thing to be aware of is that I love my family, friends, and cat, very much. I lied. The real last thing to be aware of is God's love for you, whether you know it or not.
